Finally someone that sounds like they MAY have the same problem that has been ailing me for weeks. I have messed around with power settings galore. This is what is happening to me and maybe its related to your problem? Throughout the day Mediaportal will shutdown and wake up on command and everything works great. Like clock work when morning comes I go to check if the HTPC will wake up from standby and the computer seems to come alive, all the fans turn on, all the leds are on and blinking but I get NO display or audio (Pressing the remote buttons produces no sound). The only way I can restore it is by rebooting. Now I realize your saying just the remote does not work. I am thinking perhaps your problem is HALF my problem, if the HTPC is not processing the commands it is recieveing (besides the power on one) then perhaps thats why its not turning on my video out. I am getting no audio because my button presses are not doing anything. I am pretty sure everything else is working though because recordings still get recorded in this state. We have the same TV except mine is the Sharp Aquos 37 " Can you tell me what settings you have set in these locations, I want to see if I can get mine to behave the same as yours to see if we are plauged with the same problem. Here is how all my power settings are setup: Windows Display Properties: Screensaver - None Power Options Turn off monitor - 20 mins - Never both did not seem to do anything Turn off harddisks - Never System Standby - Never Media Portal Setup General Start MediaPortal in fullscreen mode - Checked Keep MediaPortal always on top - Unchecked Autostart MediaPortal on Windows Startup - Checked Blankscreen in fullscreen mode when idle - Unchecked Turn off monitor when blanking screen - Unchecked Turn Monitor / tv on when resuming from standby - Checked and UNchecked made no difference Allow S3 standby although wake devices are present - Check Plugins - Powerscheduler Client Only allow standby on Home Screen - Checked Shutdown Mode: Suspend Shutdown Idle Timeout - 2mins (for testing so I dont have to wait forever but this doesnt make a difference) Force the system into standby - unchecked Prewakeup time - 120sec Pre no shutdown time - 120 seconds TV-Server Configuration Power Scheduler Plugin General Tab Shutdown Server after being idle - 2 mins Wakeup Server for various wakeup events - Checked Shutdown mode - Suspend Advanced Forced shutdown - unchecked Reinitialize Service on wakeup - Checked Processes - SetupTv, Configuration MCE Standby Tool Sleep State - S3 USB Enable USB S3 resume - Check Disabling selective USB suspend - Check Devices Everything UNchecked except Remote. I only want to use my remote on this machine so it needs to do everything Install - NOT INSTALLED Everything else is greyed out, Media Portal settings are greyed out as well because MCE standby tool is not installed, I have been playing with all these settings trying to find something that works. What are your settings set to. If I could get my monitor to come on even if I dont have remote controls it will be a step in the right direction.
