Hello everyone!

Well, it seems that the problem is that MediaPortal recognizes TechniSat Airstar 2 DVB-T card as Technisat SkyStar2 DVB-S so it offers me to scan that DVB-S stuff which i don't even understand, while i need an option to scan DVB-T frequencies. It worked on RC1.

I saw that someone (in this forum but in german) mentioned the same problem some time ago and offered a solution to change network type from DVB-S to DVB-T (<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"/>) in SkyStar 2 definition, but since there's no CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file, i don't know what to do.

When i enter the MediaPortal it simply says that there is no channel tuning for the channels (probably got them from manually added tvguide.xml).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

TV-Server Version: RC2
MediaPortal Version: RC2
Windows Version: XP
CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64
1. TV Card: Techinsat AirStar 2
1. TV Card Type: DVB-T
1. TV Card Driver: BDA driver

Changing autodetected TV card

Ok, it seems that no one have this combination, but for me RC2 is unusable.

Anyway, if anyone knows, is it possible to somehow change auto detected TV card? Or at least DVB-S/DVB-T category for it?!

Thank you.

Hardware specs are in the first post, here are they again:

TV-Server Version: RC2
MediaPortal Version: RC2
MediaPortal Skin: Blue Wide
Windows Version: XP
CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64
HDD: Seagate 320MB
Memory: 2GB
Motherboard: MSI
Video Card: Geforce 7600 GS
Video Card Driver: Nvidia
MPEG2 Video Codec: MPV
MPEG2 Audio Codec: MPA
Remote: WIN MCE
1. TV Card: Techinsat AirStar 2
1. TV Card Type: DVB-T
1. TV Card Driver: BDA driver

Well, thing is, as i said, MediaPortal Configuration recognizes my TechniSat Airstar 2 DVB-T TV card as Technisat SkyStar2 DVB-S and because of that i can not scan DVB-T channels in MediaPortal Configuration - it offers me only DVB-S.

Here are log files but i doubt there'll be anything strange - mediaPortal is just saying that there is no tuning details for my program, which is i suppose normal considering the fact that i can not scan DVB-T channels in Configuration.

Thank you for your response.

Dear chemelli helped me to realize that i was one of happy users that had a problem described in:
MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - MediaPortal / TV-Server 1.0 RC2 released!

"During our tests we had noticed that in some cases the uninstallation of a running TV-Server might fail. We will try to fix that for the RC3 release.
To avoid issues we recommend that you manually uninstall MediaPortal and/or the TV-Server before you launch the RC2 installer."

And, of course i didn't uninstalled RC1 before installing RC2.

Thank you.

(my fifth post. ignore it. thank you.)

This is just last post to get to 5 posts.
Ignore it.

Thank you. :)
