One thing I'm going to try is shutting down MP when I leave that activity. I have a harmony remote and it would be possible to exit MP after I leave the activity. Then I can start MP when I press the "Media Portal" activity. Unless some plugins run by default that I'm unaware of, I think I run about as clean an MP install as possible. But I'll double check and report back. Thanks tourettes for chiming in! I started this at 10:51 am. I set a scheduled task (anything really) to start at 10:55 and checked "wake computer from standby". I enabled hibernation and put the PC in hibernation mode. I started a ping htpc -t (constant ping) and to my surprise 4 minutes later it actually came out of hibernation and the scrolling is smooth. Now, if I can just get ATI drivers to detect my TV even when its not on I'll be set.
