? If I install RC4. will I loose my curent settings, or can i just upgrade - and loose my thumbnails, etc..as this has taken me a while to get it running as it is..

you will "loose" your settings as your current installation will be backed up.

You can manually back up and restore your settings by using this plugin:

I think I will wait till the final V1.0...

Backupsettings will backup both MP- and tvserversettings
I used it myself to upgrade from RC2 to RC3

Hi,
When I upgraded from RC3 to RC4. I ended up with a rather strange upgrade....
1. All of my TVServer settings (channels, schedules etc.), ended up being reset to default (But I could re-import them).
2. All of my media portal settings (phot0 locations, movie locations, TV settings etc.), seem to be retained and updated.

Is this what would be expected?
