More info

FWIW, the card does work with other software. I also tried uninstalling RC3, deleting everything that said mediaportal in the registry and re-installing. Same problem.

From what i can see you seem to have an analog tuner, so it wont be supported in RC3 release, if you were to go back to say 1.3 which i think still had the support for analog tuners it would probably work straight away, i think from memory on the media portal home page it explains how to get your analog tuner added or perhaps try Dman as he is the man can can add it in i think, but i may be wrong

Tried it, same error

I checked the wiki, as I couldn't find anything on the top page, and apparently it wanted me to install some sort of software encoder from teh Hauppauge site for my 878-based card. I went through the process described, and I still get the same error message. I tried deleting and re-adding the device, and I get the same error. Any other ideas?

TIA
