RC4 and HD TV (1 Viewer)

I have just installed RC4 and now have a problem with HD TV. I have been running RC3 for several months with no problems, recording lots of TV and both SD and HD channels while away on holiday.

I saw that RC4 is released so installed it, mostly because I wanted to try the supposed improved functionality in the 4TheRecord scheduler. I now cannot get MP to access the BBC HD channel, nor will it play any of the recorded programs off the HD channel - no problems with any of the SD channels or recordings.

Is there any known problem with RC4 and HD TV?

I have ensured that setup of codecs is identical to what I had before (I use the Cyberlink H264 decoder) and I have tried both VMR9 and EVR. If I use the preview function in TVServer setup I can get sound but no picture from the HD channel - but in MP I simply get nothing (No audio/video detected).

Finallly, is there still a download available of RC3? I can't see one anywhere and I want to go back to that version to see if that solves the problem. I didn't keep a copy.

If anyone wants a log file to look in more depth, please specify which one(s) as MP produces lots!

When you cannot play any HD from Preview in TVServer, is this from boot, or resume from suspend, does sound a bit codec related though, as directshow cannot play.

I've tried it from both. Thanks for the link to RC3. I'll re-install this and see what happens.

I used Filmerit and got no problems (actually 1, but only with audio).

However, I re-installed RC3 and the problem has completely gone. I can now view the HD channel live and in recordings.

As I changed nothing in between, I can only suggest that there is a problem somewhere in the installation for RC4. I definately checked the box to view HD TV when I installed RC4, as I did for RC3.
