Hi all,
I'm thinking of backdating to RC3 as I am encountering so many issues with RC4 - perhaps someone could confirm if I have problems with my installation or whether the problems are RC4 related.

The issue for this thread is about channel changes on DVB-T.
My remote has never been configured to change channels by direct use of the numeric keys.
I always use the "back" button to come out of viewing TV to the EPG.
I then use navigation arrow keys to select the channel to watch (or record) and then "Enter" to switch to that channel.

This is what is happening...
I am merrily watching BBC1 for example and the programme "A" finishes -
I escape to the EPG and decide I want to watch programme "B" which is currently showing on ITV1.
I scroll down to ITV1 and press Enter on the programme currently being broadcast on ITV1.
I then get displayed a point in the timeslip recording of programme A - about half an hour before the end.
It is possible from there (sometimes) to use the right navigation button to skip to the end of the programme - when the programme I want can be viewed.
Sometimes skipping to the end won't work though and MP freezes up with the progress bar showing red and "end" as the selected point.
I then have to come out of MP altogether and restart it - presumably clearing the timeslip cache in the process.

This is annoying for me but unmanageable for her indoors who has not the faintest idea what is going on!

Any help gratefully received.

Martin

I had a similar issue, kind of, dealing wigh changing channels.

What tuners are you using...up to date drivers and firmware?

Anyway, my issues was when I wanted to swicth channel, it would "hang", change the audio to the new station but show a still picture of the old station, like it could not start the video timeshift of the new channel. I could Rewind then Forward and I would work some of the time, but usually had to restart MP. I decided to just wait, and eventually 60s to 180s it would switch the video.

Turns out, when I upgraded to Win7, I decided to upgrade firmware and drivers of my tuners (Hauppauge 2250 and HDHR). I decided to use a beta firmware on the HDHR, I havent been burned before, but this time the beta firmware backfired. I placed the latest official release of hte firmware and it cleared up some of the issues.

Then I had to switch my network provider from General to ATSC (ATSC since I have OTA), and it cleared up all my issues permanently. Maybe this will get you to debug your system a little bit, idk.

Oh, an post logs, it helps the people that know what they are doing...which is not me.

    Good Luck.
