    Ok, got it! I resolved uninstalling CoreAVC 1.8.5 (but I don't know if it's related to the issue) and Installing the new Catalyst 8.12. Now works like a charm. (EDIT: now I'm using MPV and MPA codecs for movies and DVDs)
