Hey all,

I am trying to hook up my Satellite TV via RCA to my HTPC. I have connected it through the RCA input on my Dvico HDTV card and have tested that the Sat signal works fine in the Dvico Fusion software. I cannot for the life of me get any signal through media portal and it is driving me bonkers!!

I have tried nearly everything I can think of under:

Mediaportal Setup-Television-TV Channels-Add-External

When you hit ok and close it the selection does not stay there. I have tried all the other ones as well (SVHS etc) but everytime I go into Media Portal -> TV and try and look at the new channel I have added it says failed or just has the digital TV tuner channel on.

Any ideas?!

Hello i can't actually help you. But i can inform you that i have looked around for a RGB capture card. And i can't say i actually have found any tv-card with RGB input at least not supported by MP.. So are you really sure that your card has RGB input. How is it connected!?..

Yeah sorry guys I didn't even realise i mistakenly put RGB instead of RCA (composite)! I was doing this late at night. Doh! Anyway my card is an older model HDTV card from 2004. I can't even find specs on it on the Dvico site anymore. See this review below for a pic of it

Overclockers Australia - DVIco FusionHDTV DVB-T Digital TV Tuner Card

Anyhow I can see a signal using the RCA input and running the DVICO software. I just can't get anything in Media Portal.

Cheers.

Hi ya!

Did you ever resolve this please?
I have exactly the same card and the same problem..
Everything works fine in the crappy Dvico software, but no composite input is available in MP..
Cheers,
Dave
