I apologize for bumping/hijacking the thread. Instead of creating my own. I'm having a similar problem I think. Except for me Moving Pictures isn't picking up my DVD drive in the configuration window. I tried everything from deleting the data base(after backing it up of course) and trying with no luck. Re installing Moving Pictures with no luck. Any ideas? Heres my log..

The thread you posted in was from six months ago so I split your post off. Can you be more specific about the problem you are experiencing though? I looked at your logs and saw a handful of connection issues with IMDb and themoviedb.org but this would not really fit with movies "not showing up" in the importer.

Thanks for splitting the post. Basically when I go into Mediaportal configuration/Plugins/Moving Pictures configuration in the import window it doesn't detect my DVD drive at all like it used to when I had a DVD in the drive. Though movies on my HDD detect properly. I do have "automatically import inserted DVDs" checked. But it seems to refuse to detect anything in the drive nothing shows up :(

Did your optical media drive letter change? Or perhaps in conflict with some virtual drive-station you have with VirtualCD/DeamonTools?

I don't think my letter changed. If it did is there anyway I can remap the locations? And I do have Daemontools lite could that cause this?

    Another bump.

After going through the log again I noticed Disk watcher didn't have my DVD rom listed which is drive G. I had drive I listed so I changed my DVD letter from G to I and that seemed to do the trick. Though a smaller problem which I'm not to worried about is the fact that my movies I have on DVD that I added in the past are missing from my database now :(

Sorry for the troubles Game_dude, and sorry for the slow response. It sounds to me like for some reason Moving Pictures doesn't/didn't realize that your drive G was an optical drive. I will look at the code to see if I can make sense of what is happening. Any idea on what might have been different or unusual about your setup though?

It's cool man. Something like that would never stop me from using this awesome plugin! :) But yeah I'm not really sure to be honest. Only thing I know is that it didn't seem to realize that my DVD rom letter had change. I had to manually change it back. That worked for importing DVDs again. But after that my original imported DVDs were missing :(
