Re-scanning (1 Viewer)

Hi all 1st post and im afraid its a real nube quesiont.

i downloaded and installed media portal and tv server following the one click method.

The software scanned and found no end of tv channels working from freesat (i have a compro videomate s350 DVB-s card insatlled).

The reason for moving to MP was to try to get an epg working from freesat something which the compro software wont do.
i downloaed and installed the relvant files and followied the isntruciotns but dodnt get any epg data incoming for some reason. reading theinstruciotns it identifeis channles at 28.2e and im pointing 28.5 i think (astra and freebird)

i wanted to check where it was poinintg and ask it to scan on 28.2 as i understand that its probalbe that i can 'see' that on the same dish/lnb.

My quesiotn si i cant find the 'setting' to rescan!

i have looked through the menus for both TV-server and MP config and i cant find the settings/facility to see what satellites have been scanned.

Please help me im going daft keep looking through all the menus.

Maybe this helps.

When installing MediaPortal, a handy webpage popped up with the Setup Guide.
The location of that file, on my computer, is
C:\Users\Frans\AppData\Local\Temp\MediaPortal Installation\HelpContent\SetupGuide\SetupGuide.htm

In short, do the next steps:
* Start TV Server Configuration wizard

For every TV- card:
- TV Servers => <computername>:
- Edit card => enable CAM (if you have a CAM)
- TV Servers => <computername> => TV-card =>
- LNB Setup (I have multiple LNB's)
- SAT#1, Level1AA, 19.2E Astra 1C/1E/1F/1G/1H/...
- SAT#1, Level1AB, 23.5E Astra 1E-3A
- SAT#1, Level1BA, 28.2E Astra 2A/2B/2D
- SAT#1, Level1BA, 13.0E Hotbird
- Enable DVB-S2 tuning features (I have a DVB-S2 card)
- Scanning
- Create groups for each satellite
- Update satellite list
- Scan for channels

Performing the scan for channels again equals rescanning.
