You have one scenario missing from this.

When you select a currently recording program from EPG, you also get the 'start from beginning/live point'. In this case, with your patch, live point still starts live TV rather than the recording.

Can you extend your patch to deal with this case?

Is that really wanted behaviour? You won't have an option to watch live tv from guide if you do this.

It definitely isn't the right thing. EPG must be able to always start live tv.

I just noticed here there is no such thing as resuming either,

Hi,

Tourette has committed your fix to SVN 24925. There is no change to behaviour of EPG from current SVN.

There is a bit of discussion within the team about what is the 'correct' behaviour of EPG when selecting a program that is currently recording, so I would suggest not doing any more work on this until such a point as it is needed (if that happens).

For me, there is just one issue left now. In 'recorded TV', if you select 'okay' on a recording that is in progress, you get your dialog to decide what to do (start from beginning/live point). If you select 'back' or 'escape', this should really cancel, but actually starts playback from the start. Can you help?

(Note: yeah, I know it isn't desperately good form to post requests here, but it looks as though we have a developer who could fix this UI issue, and it would be good to get it sorted!)

But then we would also need 'resume from x:xx' if the recording had been partly watched.

Please see my previous post for the solution adopted. It is the simplest possible. However, if anyone wants to make a patch to have a 4 item menu for this, feel free, and I am sure the team will consider it - assuming it is stable, of course!

In which case it could be included once 1.1.0 is released and not before. However, since the current change clarifies what will actually happen, there is now no desperate urgency to add this.
