Summary:
Capture a film that is broadcast in two parts with a news bulletin between them as one file.
Area:
TV Recording.
Description:
The Post-Record function allows a maximum of 90 minutes after the end of the scheduled time. Sometimes you get half an hour News bulletin mid-way through a Film. Extending the recording by 90 minutes doesn't always cover all of the second part of the film. The visual representation of what's being recorded doesn't show the extra Post-Record time chosen: so you have no way of telling if the second part of the film will be recorded. If you record both parts separately and try and splice together the 2 parts of a film, the recording details may not be exactly the same making it impossible to join them together.
