    Hi guys,

I have been through three different cards. First I used the Twinhan 3040 (now obsolete I think). Caused me a lot of problems when using it with S3 standby. I then bought a Hauppage T-500 (see above) and hoped the problems would be gone, but no... It also had the problem that the drivers got screwed up when resuming from S3 standby.

So I started searching this (and other) forums. In he end I decided on the Terratec 2400i. It is also a DVB-T card with dual tuners. The difference is that it has a PCI-E interface (rather than PCI) and somehow this solved the problem with standby/resume. It also works with HDTV (h264, 720p) very well.

    Good luck!

    /Peter

my favourite is the DigitalNow Dual Hybrid. It has excellent reception and two digital tuners and two analog tuners.

For $149 it's hard to go wrong. I had a Dvico Dual and it never worked very well, cost a lot more and had no analog tuners. the thing about it and the huappauge that cause issues most is that they are really two USB cards built onto a USB bridge. This causes issues when you hibernate or suspend.

Note that I never got the analog tuners to work with MP, but then again, I never really tried very hard, since I am all digital.
The TV engine v3 picks up the tuners perfectly, not sure about the standard tv engine but that has issues with the dvico cards too.

Another recommendation for DigitalNow. Both their support and gear are excellent. I have been using a USB TinyTwin for some time with MP and TVE3 and have had no problem at all with it.

Don't discount USB as a possibility. I have had no problem re-starting after suspending my HTPC (the success of this often has more to do with the Motherboard than the USB devices themselves).
