I have never used Mediaportal and have a question.
Can I use two DVB-T cards, one with my subscriptioncard including paychannels, and a DVB-T card without to watch free channels?

And then record for example a paychannel program while watching a free channel from the other card?

I haven't got into that side of things with MediaPortal yet. We haven't got a terrestrial aerial at our house.

Bur from what I've seen in the config and around here in the forums, what you are asking for is acheivable. You can set each card up in config to be used for recording and/or playback.

No problem

Hi,

Can confirm that it works perfect. I have two cards, both dual tuner:
o One dual analog TV/Radio tuner card (Hauppauge PVR-500)
o One dual DVB-T tuner card (Terratec 2400i)

As previous stated by Spritfest, just configure the cards to do both recording/playback.

good luck...

Stefan

You need to apply the dual tuner patch found in the sticky post hardware forum.
Also MP setup (skip step in main install) Television you will have to add and autotune cards (the one with the scrambled channels give a higher priority to.
Then move your channels to your preferred order and exit setup.

Good luck and I hope everything goes well.

ps. Do not forget to install the latest patch prior to configuring your TV.
