Hi,

As the title suggests, I'm getting a lot of dropped frames when playing recorded TV on my secondary screen. The problem goes away if I disable the screen selector and play the same recordings while running MediaPortal on my primary screen.

You are likely to have problems when running dual screens - it's always best to run MP on a single screen system. It's not really MP's fault, it's just how Windows handles things when playing video on multiple screens.

    Take a look at https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-1-2-0-rc-547/dual-screens-causes-livetv-not-work-100736/#post791259 and https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-development-no-feature-request-here-48/mp1-evr-presenter-dshowhelper-community-development-81148/index132.html#post791317

    Hi,

I have run MediaPortal on my secondary screen for a few years now and in most cases it works just fine. However, one of the few exceptions is these TV recordings. I tried playing the same recordings (i.e. the TS-files) with Media Player Classic and it can handle them on my secondary screen with zero dropped frames. During this test MPC was configured to use the same renderer and codecs as MediaPortal (EVR + Microsoft DTV-DVD audio/video + AC3Filter). Now what exactly changes in MediaPortal's rendering process when the screen selector is enabled?
