Recording a series re-records shows I've already got. (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys

I set up MP yesterday, and all is working well*, with a twin DVB-T backend and the client running on a laptop under the TV.

I do have a quick question regarding recording a series though. I was expecting that if I recorded a show 'anytime any channel' that it would not schedule things I've already recorded, but it seems to literally record everything it can find, which means that with channels like E4 and E4+1, I've soon got a whole load of duplicate recordings.

So the question is, is this expected behaviour, and if so, is there a workaround?

TVSeries recording is non existant unless you use 4therecord to schedule the recordings as duplicates happen all the time.

I personally scroll down the episodes to record for a week ahead and select them 1 by 1, but have a look at the above link, just wish it was part of MP core.

Thanks for the prompt reply PD. 4therecord looks pretty cool. I'll definately have a play.
