Hi!

I have just installed MP 0.2.0 RC4, and when I did a recording it was in dvr-ms format. I have looked through the settings but can't find how to change this to .mpg. Is it possible? Or does MP only record in this format? I want to be able to edit and make a DVD.

Any help is apreciated.

Russty

It is just an mpeg2 file inside a wrapper (contains meta data and some DRM info <- not used). The burner plugin can convert it back to a .mpg file and so can various other programs. You can also do it via graphedit if you get desperate.

So I take it that this is the only format MP will record in. I have tried converting it over using Digital Media Converter, but it took about 3-4 hours to do just a 50 minute video! And it said that the dvr-ms was a highly compressed format.

    Thanks for your replies.

    Russty.

    EDIT
I just tried the converting in the Recorded TV section, and it worked very quickly! And was a MUCH HIGHER QUALITY than the one done through the Digital Media Converter.

Thanks for the help. Now I'm happy :D
