One suggestion would be to "Record this show on this timeslot" or something like that. If you want to record Mythbusters every sunday, it checks if Mythbusters is on at that time every week. It could check, say one "program length" before and one after the timeslot as well, to account for minor schedule changes. So, if your show is one hour, 8-9 every sunday, it would check the guide for that program every sunday between 7-10. If it's 30 mins, 8.00-8.30, it would check 7.30-9.00.
