Recording option: "Include timeshiftbuffer" (1 Viewer)

It would be fantastic if, when I hit the record button, I was given the option to start recording from live point or include the timeshiftbuffer!

I'm sometimes watching a channel and think after about some time: "Damn, this is interesting! I want to record this documentary so I can watch it later again or give it to others that are interested."

Or I'm just on the phone and after a while I notice the show on the selected channel I wanted to see has been on for, say, 20 minutes. But I have to leave right away...
Now it would be great if I could record the timeshift buffer so I can still watch the whole show later.

Anyways, devs, keep up the fantastic job!!

Please browse thru the other improvement suggestion before writing a new one. I think this one has been already asked few times

Unfortunately atleast currently such feature isnt on the 1.0.1 roadmap / todo list.

I did scroll through the improvement suggestions but found nothing.
The search option for "timeshiftbuffer recording" or even "timeshiftbuffer" gives 0 results.
(Maybe it can be found in one of the other 10+ improvement suggestions sections, but the vastness/scattering of the forum is another issue)

The reason why this is not in the 1.0.1 (or any roadmap) is (IIRC) that this would require to much rework of the TVServer.
The team is very aware that some users (and Team Members ) really would like to see this feature implemented in the TVServer, like it was for TVE2.

Now that is one hell of a tease
Prioritiesmanagement for tv recordings also broke in the 1.0 version.
I hope this trend will not continue

You'd say that when it's possible to add a part of a file to two files (the part of back-to-back recordings on one channel, with overlapping pre/post recordingtime) it's possible to do something like that with the timeshiftbuffer part, but I'm no programmer so that's probably a load of bull...

Do you think it will be in MP 2 and do you think we can see a release of MP2 (including tv functionality) this year?
And is it an idea to add this to the roadmap of MP2 so people (like me ) can see it will be implemented in the future?

so it was possible in the old version, but in the new version its too much work to implement again...

It was previously provided by a Stream Buffer Engine (Microsoft component) that was replaced in TVE3 with our own code.

It's been half a year now, how are things looking for the timeshift buffer recording option?
Did any of the devs take a look at it? Is it still too much work to implement this removed feature?
I still really, really miss it...
Is it planned to be in MP2?

And now that there is a section on the roadmap page called 'Mediaportal - Future release', this can be added to that list, right?
