Recording path is lost (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Recordings are suddenly no longer stored in the path as defined in the TV Server configuration but at "All Users/../TV erver/recordings". I checked the path in the Server config, which is still what would like it to be.

A fresh install of RC2 yields the correct behavior, but eventually the path is ignored. Logs are attached.

the default path is as you posted, but as soon as i change it to where i want my recordings to be located at, the tv-server starts to use the path i told him.

so i can not confirm your issue.

Hello infinityloop,

I can only report that the path that is set in TV Server config is different from the path the recordings are actually stored (which is the default path). Things worked in the beginning but no longer now. The Server config setting is also stored in the registry, hence I don't understand why TV Server all of a sudden pulls the default path.

By the way: is the default path "hard-wired" or is it also a registry setting?

I experienced that once,
I forgot to specify the path for my second tv card (choose the second card with the dropdown box).
Every recording made with the second card was stored in the default folder...

Can you tell me how to do this in detail? If you can really specify different paths for each TV card I wonder whether this is a bug or a feature!

TV Server Setup -> Recording Settings -> Recording folders
Ther you see a drop down with the cards on top of the page, depending which you choose, different paths can be selected.

Yes! Now that blaudden guided me to the dropdown selection I got it. Unconsciously I thought that there can only be one path for allrecordings, therefore I didn't see the option.

Frankly, it is not as obvious as developers might think, although I recognize the usefulness of being able to define two different harddisks for simultaneous recordings. Some additional comment on the setting screen could help to avoid falling into this trap.

Just updated the manual with "this needs to be done for each individual TV card using drop down menu."

Hihi, one could say that you now have "tested to use different paths for each card" - and it worked.....
