I have installed media portal on a vista home premium machine. Every time i try to record the tv turns off,and there is a scheduled recording for 4hrs. from the time i selected the record now button, any ideas would be appreciated.

Use MPTestTool found under the start\mediaportal menu

Follow its instructions and repeat error, then post logs using forum go advanced + function.

i have it fixed now. i ran media portal as administrator, and everything is fine now.
