Hi,

[I think, my first try for this reports wasn´t send, this one is with attachements]

System: => User CP, Signature
Logs: attached

Problem: the scheduler stops recordings bevore they should.

Steps to reproduse:
1. disable EPG (server)
2. schedule a tv-show in future (client)
3. schedule a second one
4. wait
5. after a few minutes (almost 7 to 20) the scheduler aborted both (!) recordings like this:

2010-06-20 21:18:02.300192 [scheduler thread(9)]: card: StopRecording card=13, user=scheduler279

Thanx for your help.

Johannes

I don't see the problem here.
    1st recording is:
    Code:
2010-06-20 20:57:54.392104 [(19)]: Scheduler: Time to record ZDFinfokanal [COLOR=Red][B]20:57-21:15[/B][/COLOR] Zahn um Zahn
    ...
    2010-06-20 20:57:54.475109 [(19)]: card: Tune 13 to ZDFinfokanal
    2010-06-20 20:57:54.481109 [(19)]: card: user: [COLOR=Red][B]scheduler279:13[/B][/COLOR]:-1 tune DVBS:tv:ZDFvision ZDFinfokanal Freq:11954000 ONID:1 TSID:1079 SID:28011 PMT:0x258 FTA:True LCN:2208 SymbolRate:27500 Modulation:ModNotSet Polarisation:LinearH InnerFecRate:Rate3_4 DisEqc:None band:Universal Pilot:NotSet RollOff:NotSet
which starts on time on card 13 and ends 3 minutes after scheduled time (post recording I assume):
    Code:
    2010-06-20 [COLOR=Red][B]21:18:02[/B][/COLOR].291192 [scheduler thread(9)]: Scheduler: stop record ZDFinfokanal 20.06.2010 20:57:56-20.06.2010 [COLOR=Red][B]21:15:00[/B][/COLOR] Zahn um Zahn
    2010-06-20 21:18:02.300192 [scheduler thread(9)]: card: StopRecording card=13, user=scheduler279
    2010-06-20 21:18:02.309193 [scheduler thread(9)]: card: StopRecording for card:13
    2nd recording is:
    Code:
2010-06-20 20:59:04.608120 [(19)]: Scheduler: Time to record EinsExtra [COLOR=Red][B]20:59-21:30[/B][/COLOR] Im Hafen daheim
    ...
    2010-06-20 20:59:04.688125 [(19)]: card: Tune 14 to EinsExtra
    2010-06-20 20:59:04.694125 [(19)]: card: user: [B][COLOR=Red]scheduler280:14[/COLOR][/B]:-1 tune DVBS:tv:ARD EinsExtra Freq:10744000 ONID:1 TSID:1051 SID:28721 PMT:0x64 FTA:True LCN:1904 SymbolRate:22000 Modulation:ModNotSet Polarisation:LinearH InnerFecRate:Rate5_6 DisEqc:None band:Universal Pilot:NotSet RollOff:NotSet
which also starts on time on card 14 and ends 3 minutes after scheduled time:
    Code:
    2010-06-20 [B][COLOR=Red]21:33:03[/COLOR][/B].555741 [scheduler thread(9)]: Scheduler: stop record EinsExtra 20.06.2010 20:59:06-20.06.2010 [B][COLOR=Red]21:30:00[/COLOR][/B] Im Hafen daheim
    2010-06-20 21:33:03.564742 [scheduler thread(9)]: card: StopRecording card=14, user=scheduler280
    2010-06-20 21:33:03.573742 [scheduler thread(9)]: card: StopRecording for card:14

    Am I missing something?

HI arion_p and hi to all,

yes, in fact, when I read your answer, I think I´m wrong: the log looks good. But I have made a lot of more tests. The result is, that everytime I use (watch tv, record, epg) both tuner (Digital Devices CineS2 DVB-S2: one peace of hardware with two tuners), then after 6 to 13 minutes the record (no more data are written to the ts-file) or live-tv stops (freezes). Independent of this issue are the written logs, which appear correct.

Then I have deactivated the second tuner: no issues at all.

What can I do now? Where have I to look for?

    Thanx a lot
    Johannes

I have a dual DVB-T USB tuner and I have no such issue. So it is either related to the card type (DVB-S2), or the specific card model, or it could even be a bug in the card drivers.

I would first try to rule out the last case (bad drivers) by doing some tests using some other software (e.g. VLC) to control both tuners at the same time and see if you can reproduce the issue. If you can the problem is with the card/drivers.

Otherwise it will be hard to nail the issue. Perhaps some more logs with detailed notes on what happened when.

Unfortunately I do not have any solid advice/suggestions on what to do next.

Ok, I have send a email to the manfacturer. Maybe they can give me advice - maybe a new driver...
Tomorror I test this issue with Non-MP - I will report the result here.

I have tested my tuner with the testtool von Digital Devices. I´m a little bit glad to tell you, that with this tool the issue appears in the same manner!!!

Ergo: MP is definitely not the source of my located issue.

    Thank you for your advice.

For all users of the CineS2 DVB-S2 double-tuner from Digital Devices in combination with H55-chipset:
=> The chipset H55 (maybe others too) don´t keep the conditions of the PCIe-standard (this tells me Digital Devices)
=> Digital Devices develop a new driver (I tested the Beta-Version of 1.4.4.49)
=> Digital Devices is informed about this problem (tuner stop working after some minutes, if both tuner are used)

    Workaround:
=> Deactivate the second tuner in TV-Server - Configuration

    I keep you informed.

    Johannes

    Thanks Johannes for the update.

Marking thread as no bug, since it is now confirmed to be a problem with specific card / mobo combination.
