Recordings randomly inactive (1 Viewer)

Hi,


I have a strange problem which is driving me nuts. Some recordings randomly go inactive - ie.. the red dot does not show on the guide. When I go into the recording I have to hit "don't record" and then hit "Record" again to re-activate it. It happens for maybe 25% of recordings meaning I can't really set anything in advance & have to check before something starts that it is still going to record. The recording folder is c:\users\public\recorded tv, I have loads of HD space, & it is an i5 with 8 gig ram.

I have 2 blackgold BGT 3620 tuners and the signal is good.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hello and welcome Craig

If you leave the recordings (ie. don't "reactivate" them), do the programs really not get recorded?
I ask this to try to determine whether what you're seeing is just an issue with the display of scheduled programs or really an issue with schedules getting deleted (highly unlikely) as you say.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah they just don't record.

have tried fresh install of win 7, win 10, etc ... have one of those sneaky feeling that I am being stupid but just can't see it.

Okay, thanks for the answer. Could you please supply log files showing that behaviour? If yes, when you provide those log files, please also specify the date/time, channel name and program name of the intended recording that was not recorded.

Hi - thanks again for the quick reply. I will schedule some recordings tomorrow and then get the logs. Cant right now as the wife is watching her programs and I cant be doing with the ear bashing.
