I am using StreamMP with Moving pictures..for your information

When you enable Dynamic refresh rate
under... media portal configuration

it changes the refresh rate to 24Hz... okay, back in Medial portal
in Moving Pictures ..when watching a film

but with my ATI 4650 with 9.11 catalyst driver

...it doesnt resize the screen
ie it leaves it with a border around the screen...
because of the change of refresh rate

Others must have encountered this problem...
has anyone solved this issue

do I need to do something with ATI profiles?
or is there a way in Media Portal configuration
to tell it to resize the screen?
or is there something additional I need to use?

Please try to set a "Default refresh rate" in the configuration section for refresh rate changer. This should be set to 50 or 60 depending on your screens rate.

    Yeah

That helps... when I quit say a film with a frame rate of 23.976
ie it takes the screen back to the default refresh rate ..which I have set to 60
(which matches my Sony LCD W5500 116cm)
and makes it full screen again..thats an improvement

Its when I start watching the film in 23.076...it doesn't resize/scale the film to full screen
ie it has a border around the screen.

Do I have to tell Catalyst Control center..(ATI 4650 video card)...to maintain ratio or scale in the settings?

or is there something that does it in the Media Portal settings ..Dynamic Refresh rate settings area?

or is there another Media portal plugin that can do this?

AW: refresh rate change...changed screen size?

Maybe its a little bit late, but...
ATI/AMD has a very awkward view of how HDMI content has to be delivered to the screen, they set the overscale to a value less than 100% which makes the output have a border. you have to get into the catalyst, manually set the refresh rate and then configure the screen to scale to 100%, then the driver remebers this value for future changes,
and you have to do this for every refresh rate.

it is very annoying but ati/amd doesnt change this (its an issue to me too for over 1 year)...

    I understand your problem.
    Solution:

    Run CCC
    Change to 24hz
Change the overscan slider to 0%
    Change to 50hz
Change the overscan slider to 0%
    Change to 60hz
Change the overscan slider to 0%

Now when dynamic refresh rate changer changes the hz, you will have 0% overscan.
