Regarding "MediaPortal and 64bit Operating Systems" (1 Viewer)

There is a pinned post here with title "MediaPortal and 64bit Operating Systems" which kind of gives the impression that MP won't work at all on 64 bit windows, which isn't true as I am currently running it on just that (Vista Ultimate 64 bit) with no more problem than normal. I guess the thought behind the post was to tell that there is no 64 bit version of MP nor planned, but the post kind of give the impression that it is a no go.

the notice about MediaPortal and 64bit Operating Systems is only to inform users that there is no support for running Mediaportal on XP Professional 64bit, or vista 64bit. It can still be achieved since MediaPortal is developed in a .net language which gets customized to your machine during its first startup. MP will not make use of any 64bit capabilities of a system, but under most circumstances it should still function.
