Hi!

Let me share my custom build of MediaPortal. It was built for my internal usage but I think there are some feature which are useful for some users. I am using it in my multi-seat system with four clients.

This is a TEST version without official support by the Team!


What is the difference between this and the original release?

• Placeshift feature:
  
  You can save the state of the timeshift position and continue watching TV on an another client.​
• Share TS buffer between clients.
  • When you select a stream in the TV streams dialogue, you can choose to create a new TS buffer (original behaviour) or play the existing rtsp stream from buffer. Choosing of the second one, you will able to play the buffer from the beginning until the owner of the buffer does not stop the stream. If the owner wants to stop the stream, the owner has to use the placeshift feature to change the owner.
• PIN protection for TV channel groups (for living room's HTPC).
• Enable/disable PIN protected groups on client side (for Children's HTPC).
• Protection for Recorded TV and scheduled screen.

Return to home after resume and delete windows history. (default off) Show movie duration next to file size in list view. The theme exists for default and Titan skins. (default off)

I only use above features and this works without any issue.
Do you need logs?

Hi,

there was a situation what I can't handle with MePo. My wife watched a TV show in the livingroom. My kid did not start watching with her but later he decided he wants to watch the TV show from the begining in his room. The full show was in the ts buffer but he can not use that.

I have to resolve it. The next version is building...

TVE3 is in a code freeze now to make it easier for TVE3.5 to replace TVE3.
But I'm happy to see that you already ported some of your features to TVE3.5 It would be really a shame if these features are getting lost

Yes, I ported the include ts buffers in recording feature to TVE3.5. The code in the TVE3 is almost same as in the TVE3.5 so the test of my build very useful before I port any code to TVE3.5
