Reinstalled Media Portal but no “My TV” button. (1 Viewer)

Hi

I reinstalled Media Portal. When I had it working before, I remember that when I clicked on the “Media Portal” icon the software opened up with a “My TV” button. However, that does not happen anymore. Now when I click on the “Media Portal” icon the “MediaPortal – Configuration” window appears just like it does when I click the “MediaPortal Configuration” icon.

I reinstalled the dvbfix to get it to work with Win XP. I also scanned the TV channels but only did the digital TV channels which were the first two in the list of 4 that could be scanned. I thought I could do the others later if I could get it to work. I think the others were analogue and for radio. I selected the Townsville area even though I am in the Cairns area because there is no option for Cairns. Would scanning the Townsville area also get all the Cairns area channels or would it be best to do the scan for the all of Australia?

However, I cannot get Media Portal going yet as I cannot get the “My TV” button like I could before. I only see the “MediaPortal – Configuration” window. Do you know why this is?

The config-window comes up the first time untill you actually saves the config - as I recall. Sounds like the window was closes without saving any changes.

The TV-Config will allways come up when you click TV-server Configuration

The first time you try to start MediaPortal, you are prompted with the "simple" / "advanced" Configuration, then if you press save when you are done configuring, MediaPortal Configuration should only start when you click MediaPortal Configuration, and not when you click MediaPortal.

Am I making any sense?

This means that there is no confirguration file present.
Configure MediaPortal inside "MediaPortal configuration" and all is fine again.
