I've been working a lot on making sure the skins i'm maintaning are more remote/keyboard friendly. It seems like only the onup tag can be used get to the topbar buttons. I've tried adding the line <onleft>21</onleft> to the left side navigation buttons of my modified bluetwo skin, but it doesn't do anything.

I grabbed an image from a thread to try to explain what i mean a bit better.

Right now hitting the left keyboard/remote button while on any one of these left side navigation buttons goes nowhwere. I would like to reach the top bar from any of the navigation buttons by using a left arrow. And then change the onup action for top button (video codec in this case) to go to the bottom button (EPG) instead of the top bar.

I know it visually isn't completely intuitive...having to click a left button to reach an object up top. I wanted to change a few files and see what the response was. Don't know if this is something that can be changed easily, or if there is much interest in changing it. Just a change that might give the skinners a few options.
