Hi y'all,

Very new to Mediaportal - I just wanted to know if this remote will work before i buy it:

LinITX.com - Philips 4-IN-1 Programmable Remote Control for Vista & MCE

its supposed to be a very good remote...

Also I download a lot of bluray movies in mkv format - are they watchable through MP? (cos they deff are not in vista MCE)

Also we do not have freeview access due to rubbish ariel so Sky instead - is it worth trying to using IR blaster or programming sky into MP...? however that is possible?

Any answers would be much appreciated

Looks good,

It looks like it might be a "Vista-Only" remote ... some of these will work with XP, but for some there is no way of using them in XP yet.

So if you use Vista then it should be fine.

If you use XP it's a 50/50 proposition I would say.

alright mate - i am using vista but will the buttons b easily programmable in MP? Im not entirely sure how that is done..?
