Remote cannot enter PIN in StreamedMP (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 1.1.0
MediaPortal Skin: StreamedMP 1.2.1.1553
Windows Version: Windows 7 U
Remote: Harmony 880 /w Message plugin and Eventghost

I'm using Harmoney 880 to control MP via the Message plugin and Eventghost. I have a problem of entering 4 digits PIN code to unlock Parent lock. The PIN entering window does not respond to remote number input. Enter the number via keyboard works. However the number keys on the remote work in all scenarios, such as jump to time, remote filtering, etc. The settings of the Message plugin and MediaPortal plugin in Eventghost are in thei default settings. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks a lot.

Update: I just tested entering pin using IRSS w/ virtual remote. The resutl is the same. The PIN applet does not respond to the remote number key. I guess it is time report it as a bug.

I have had a similar behavior with a different configuration (HP MCE remote h/w and HM Remote Key s/w), but I'm sure it is the same issue.

Let me try to explain (if I understood this better that would be easier).

If you press the '1' key on the remote, the remote s/w (in your case EventGhost) does not send a '1', but sends a message that the 'numeric key 1' was pressed. Streamed MP does not like this.

I had to map the numeric keys of the remote to the actual numbers, so assign a '1' to key 1 etc. I did this in the HM Remote Key s/w for the MP profile, you should be able to do that in EventGhost.

Let me me know if that does the trick.

Thanks a lot for the workaround. Yes, it works. The downside is that mediaportal has to be on focus. Oh well, mediaportal is always on the top. I submit the issue to moving pictures plugin team. Hopefully they consider it as a bug and fix it in future releases.
