Apologies as cannot find any solution in wiki,etc and I am new to the portal. I have the following MCE remote control from Maplins:

I am running windows 7 ultimate and mediaportal 1.1.2.0 with streamedMP skin. I have only very limited functionality from the remote. i.e. in music view I can use arrows to go up and down the tracks, volume up and down, and ok to select... I cannot use pause, fast forward, next track, etc.
In MediaPortal configuration I have enabled MCE remote. Do I have to assign each and every keyand if so how ??? Can anyone assit please ?
just seen another thread and potential solution with selecting HID remote. Seems to wrokk better with trick play functionality. Will test further this evening
