Remote connection to TV server doesn't work (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I'm new here and don't have much experience with MediaPortal.

I installed MediaPortal TV server and client. I configured it all but when I tested it locally it didn't work. So I installed For The Record and now it works locally in MediaPortal. But when I try to watch TV from another computer I get many errors.

I disabled the firewalls from both PC's. I configured MySQL for remote connections. I have put the IP address from the TV server in the MP configurator. But when I open MP it says "Connection to the TV service lost".

As soon as I hit OK MP asks me for an IP address of the Master TV Service. I have entered the correct IP address 192.168.2.193. I hit change and done and then I get the following message: "Some ports seem to be blocked, 31456 (TCP) RemoteControl". Then I get the following errors: "Unable to connect to the TV-Server, Unable to connect to database, Please check firewall".

SO my question is: does anyone have suggestions and is anyone willing to help me? I hope someone could.

You need to open many-many ports for this http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/11_Preparing_Your_System/Firewall_Settings
And maybe editing gentle.config file will be needed.
