By using a program called <a href="http://salling.com/clicker/windows/" target="_blank">"Salling Clicker"</a>, i can have my mobile connect to the pc via bluetooth or wifi (whichever is supported by your mobile/PDA) and by using a script called "mediaportal" which is available from their forum, it basically maps the most common buttons used in media portal to the mobile keys. Of course, me being a perfectionist, and also not knowing much about programming, since the mobile in question is a <a href="http://www.discusswireless.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/sonyericsson_p990_1.jpg" target="_blank">Sony Ericsson P990i </a><img src="http://www.discusswireless.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/sonyericsson_p990_1.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>that boasts a full qwerty keyboard, I tinkered a bit (and by a bit i mean a lot since i'm learing as i go along) with the script and managed to modify the script a bit to allow all the keys to work like a full keyboard. So if you happen to have a PDA or any smartphone with touchscreen(used as a mousepad) and/or qwerty keyboard, you'd be pleased to know that the phone could be the all in one gadget to control your HTPC. What I love about it is the fact that as a "remote" it's about the size (if not smaller) than the average remote but inherently to mobiles, they are more complex and have a lot more potential :-D</p><p></p><p>Nowadays that mobile is just a remote for me now. I have just bought a new <a href="http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/2008/06/se-c905.jpg" target="_blank">SE c905 </a>which intrestingly enough comes built in with bluetooth remote control funtions for a pc.. so maybe this is something to build on for the future..</p></blockquote><p></p>
