Now bear with me guys as I have NO knowledge about ANYTHING to do with Infrared...</p><p></p><p>So I installed the drivers of the CD that came with it, plugged it into COM1, set the drivers to COM1 then downloaded WinLIRC because I had heard good things about it and thought it could let me use the remote to control my PC. I opened up the main WinLIRC program and was greeted by an error message, instructing me to check the config file so I did. I left everything normal except for the COM port (COM1) and directing a path to the config file. I then clicked OK and was greeted by the SAME error message. At this point I got a bit frustrated and went back to the config and pressed 'Learn' (first button I saw) and was greeted with ANOTHER error! This one read "There was an error initilizing WinLIRC. Please check port settings and try again."</p><p></p><p>WTF? Can anyone help me?</p></blockquote><p></p>
