I am having alot of trouble getting a remote to work properly with media portal 1.0.0.0 on Windows XP, and I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I have a cheap remote I bought off ebay with a usb receiver that came bundled with power cinema, and using a power cinema remote plugin, I am able to get the playback buttons working (play/pause/rewind/fast forard) but unable to get the navigation buttons (up/down/left/right/ok) working. I also have the media centre (card style) remote that came bundled with my Compro Videomate Vista T100 tha has the navigation buttons working, but none of the playback buttons! I need to be able to get all the functions working from one remote, at this stage I am not too concerned which remote that is, I just want it working! I have noticed that the usb receiver 'flashes' whenever a key is pressed from either remote (or any other remote for that mater) so I am wondering if perhaps there is a program that will allow me to 'program' the common keypresses into it for media portal? Ideally I would also like to be able to get the shortcut keys (videos/music/pictures etc) working aswell as launching the program from a particular keypress, but these are not essential, I really need the remote working with navigation and playback above all. On a side note, whenever I play a video in media portal the mouse cursor stays on the screen, and I have to move it right to the corner of the screen to hide it. Is there a way to auto hide the mouse cursor during playback? Thankyou in advance, I REALLY want to get this working, I've been playing around for days!!
