Hi hayword, i don't view MP itself, but the configuration programs for MP. All you have to do is make a text file on the desktop, paste that into it and rename blahblah.txt to blahblah.bat, then double click on it when you're done. AFAIK, you shouldn't be able to see much of MP itself over the network.

Hi guys, any reason you don't use remote desktop?

I think because in XP when logging into an RDP session, the local desktop becomes locked, and everytime you leave the session, you have to reboot. Also the fact the DirectX doesnt display over RDP sessions is a major contributor to me using TightVNC for my administration.

Hey gxtracker, you're a special case since you use it for design. I figure most people will just reconfigure (like me :D). Anyway, the script is a few posts up.

So you dont actually Remote in to the pc and watch MP in there?

I'm interested on knowing on how to configure on what you have setup there at your end.

Basically what I'm trying to accomplish is I want to be able to access MP (Media Portal) remotely from work or anywhere in the world. I want to be able to watch my personal videos, view pictures and especially watch MY TV anywhere.

Do you have any links somewhere on how to do this step by step?

    Please advise.

    Thanks a lot! :)
