I got this MCE remote and it worked flawlessly with Windows MCE. The play/stop/pause/ffwd/rwd buttons worked, the Start button brought up the MC, each color button has an icon of video, TV, audio, radio and they brought up the respective menus. The back button took me to the previous menu. The arrow buttons and OK did its share, also. But I decided to try MP and find it much better at managing the music or videos I have. Also it can play almost whatever I throw at it. The problem is that the same exact remote that performed perfectly under MS MCE is completely buggy under MP. If I select no remote control, or if I select "MCE Remote" at the "Remote" tab, the only keys that serve their purporse are the arrow keys. The "back" key takes me to the first item in the current menu, no matter how I remap it. The "Start" button unmaximizes and maximizes the MP screen. Play, stop, etc. do nothing. And neither do the video, music, etc. keys. In order for the play, stop, pause. keys to work, I need to select "General HID device" along with "MCE Remote". The start button keep unmaximizing the MP and the ffwd/rwd keys do nothing. I tried selecting the Sceneo remote. Then the Start button did as expected (bring up the main menu of MP) BUT the play and stop keys didn't work (ffwd and rwd keys did work, though). I wouldn't be so picky if the remote hadn't worked as it did under MS MCE. What can be happening? What can I do to map the keys correctly?
