hey guys,
I have got my vista ir reciever working in xp and have been using it happily for about a week... Now suddenly it no longer works... it flashes when i press a button, but nothing happens in xp and intelliremote doesn't detect any input, but it is still listed in device manager, then randomly it will starts working again... anyone know how i can fix this, also another thing is a did the registry hack to prevent windows doing anything when i press a button so i could make intelliremote completely control the remote but this also sometimes it does nothing and other times it does the command...help?

If you press a button does the receiver itself register a input, stupid as it may sound duff batteries make these things go intermitant as hell.

Try uninstalling in device manager, remove usb connection, reboot and let windows reinstall, had to do this a couple of times with my mce remote\keyboard as it suddenly stopped working :(

Change batteries and try again... Happens a lot that the batteries shipped with the unit are really bad.
