So if the CPU is under heavy strain and the thread doesn't have enough time it won't be able to accurately time the signal lengths, so won't work. You can try setting the thread priority to real time, and see if that makes any difference. An alternative is to get a different IR receiver. A genuince MCE receiver should work as a drop in replacement for your serial one with winlirc. The only catch is you need to be logged in as administrator, or just have admin rights. Guest accounts work work. No clue why, MS just designed it this way.</p></blockquote><p></p>
