Remote sensitivity (1 Viewer)

I've got a Zalman HD160 case, with the RC6 media center remote, using IRTrans. The only real issue I'm having with the remote is how sensitive it is. When I'm navigating the menu I'll push the up or down button once and it'll move two menu items up or down instead of one. Is there any way of adjusting the sensitivity of the remote?

The operating system will, by default, handle the arrow keys and a few others automatically. IRTrans might be doubling the message. I doubt it is a sensitivity issue, I believe it will be a repeated keypress issue.

You may need to remove whatever mapping there is for the arrow keys and ok button.

Just checked, it's not doubling the input, at least not that I can see in the "Detected IR Commands" window. Does anyone know of a good resource for IRTrans and Media Portal configuration. Another thing I'd like to be able to do is launch media portal with the green button. Any help and/or links would be greatly appreciated as this is my first time using IRTrans and Media Portal. Thanks

Did you follow the instructions in the MediaPortal Configuration program, in the Remote, IRTrans tab for double click problems?

One of my HTPC's has the IRtrans+VFD+MCE Remote, and I just followed the instructions to get rid of the double click problem.

Double Step issue with MCE Remote

I am not sure what I did but I had the double step issue and then turned off the entry for the MCE in the remote config in MP as I had the IRTrans option active as well. It worked BUT when I restarted the machine (after the Youtube.fm plugin refused to allow me back to MP while playing!) The double step issue returned so not sure why it worked the first time.

I have no idea what to do to prevent this happening - any help welcome

I do, use eventghost. It has an option to remove the default left/right/up/down etc behaviour of the MCE remote completely.
After doing that you can define everything you want in eventghost

Thanks for the information. I will take a look at eventghost. I did manage to get the remote working but still not sure how! I think I wil have to ensure settings are 'cleaned out' by restarting MP as they seems to be some retention of previous configs.
