Hi @ all!

I've just installed MediaPortal 1.1 RC2 on my HP Pavilion Notebook (Win Vista) and everything works fine so far. Only the Play/Pause-Button does not seem to be recognized. It is a small remote that can be stored in the PCMCIA-Slot (found a pic of it on the internet).

In the settings I've activated the "Use Microsoft MCE remote or keyboard" and the extended logging. Except for the Play/Pause-key all keys work as expected. Taking a look at the log I noticed that the pause key is not recognized as "Pause"-Key - instead it is called command 110.

I tried to assign something like 110 to the pause command for the remote in the settings of MediaPortal, but I can't find out how.

Strange about the log is that all the keys of the remote are logged as not mapped:

Code:
2010-05-30 20:49:48.145000 [Info.][(6)]: MCE: Command "Forward" mapped
2010-05-30 20:49:50.518000 [Info.][(6)]: MCE: Incoming button command: 110
2010-05-30 20:49:50.518000 [Info.][(6)]: MCE: Command "110" not mapped
2010-05-30 20:49:51.070000 [Info.][(6)]: MCE: Incoming button command: 110
2010-05-30 20:49:51.071000 [Info.][(6)]: MCE: Command "110" not mapped
2010-05-30 20:49:51.827000 [Info.][(6)]: MCE: Incoming button command: Stop
2010-05-30 20:49:51.850000 [Info.][(6)]: MCE: Command "Stop" mapped

Any ideas how I can solve the problem?

Regards

Ralf

Hi!

Nee, leider hab ich das damals verworfen und die Sache mit dem MediaCenter nicht weiterverolgt. Da kann ich leider nicht weiterhelfen.

    Hi unst

Sometimes (depending on the remote) it is necessary to enable the "general HID" input as well as the MCE one - some of the buttons (in fact often the play/pause key) require this. Alternatively you can customise the button mapping (click on the "mapping" button in the MCE remote configuration tab).
