Remove com's while recording (1 Viewer)

Please don't rip my head off if this is an age old request as I have only moved over to media portal in the last few days. I use to use media center but got tired of its unpredictable behaviour.

Would it be possible to integrate someting like comskip or show analyser to remove com's / ad's while recording, or as a post process but fully automated and hidden??

It would also be cool if it could all tie together with an xvid compressor??

Just a thought. xx

i believe its planned to have something like this in the new tv engine, i'm not sure if it will make the first release of it tho.

Really?? That is amazing!!
The more I use media portal and the more i look in to improving the setup on my machines, the more annoyed I get because I stuck with media center so long.
I installed media portal on my pc just before xmas but had a nightmare trying to set up the guide. the integration of webepg is so user friendly!!!

I was so impressed I had to make a contribution. If any of the developers read this, excellent job you really are the saviors!!

The new engine supports comskip, that's correct.
