Hi!

Im new to this, and I have searched the forums. Seems im the only one with this problem?
When I do Autotune all channels gets nice into the TV list. Most of them are paychannels, which I dont have access to. Now the problem starts. I cant get them out of my channellist!!
The only way to get them out of the list is to delete them manually. However, when I have deleted them, new channles automagically appears in the list. These are always duplicates of existing channels.

In short: If I delete everything except 4 channels, next time I go into configuration, there will be 7 or 8 channels, with the new ones beeing duplicates!!! This duplicates will also appear in the assigned channels list...

What am I doing wrong???

Thanks

/Jonas

I don't know if its you or MP that doing something wrong but I think I know how you can solve this.

I had a similar problem two days ago (when replacing ZTV with TV6). It seems that MP automagically, as you say, imports channel settings from the card-setup.

Try to go to the autotune page and delete the channels from that list.

Just untick the box against the relevant TV channel in mpsetup\tv\channels.
This does not delete the channels, but it removes them from the epg which tidies things up.
You will still be able to access the channels by scrolling using remote up\down channel button.

I've experienced a similar problem with channels appearing after I've deleted them.

For me this happens when I merge an analog and digital channel together. I exit the config and go back in and the combined channel is present, but then there's also a duplicate which always reappears even if I delete it.

Am I overlooking something here? I can't see any reason why this functionality would be intentional...

How do I remove it from the up\down channel button, I have deleted the channel from MP-Setup but it is still there when I use the up\down channel button.

    Thanks

tried the "delete scrambled" button? :)

btw. do you use XMLTV or zap2it?
i think i have heared that the import of this TVGuides (which could contain tuning informations) adds channels.

I have not tried the "delete scrambled" button; I will do so tonight and see if it works. I'm using the XMLTV files because that’s the only way to get the schedules, there are two sites in South Africa that maintain and make it available for download.

The same goes for me - I haven't tried it, but will and I'm using XMLTVNZ (localalised XMLTV version).

I've looked for explanation of some of the functions in the wiki etc, but it only seems to repeat the menu structure, with no explanation...

Is there a technical explanation for what the "delete scrambled" is supposed to do? I think I wrongly assumed that it was something to do with a scrambled TV signal!!
