Reord to NAS (1 Viewer)

I am a new user and I am currently setting up and testing my new HTPC. I am running Wndows 7.

Mediaportal is not letting me record to my NAS drive. There is a solution posted in the thread "no record" but that doesn't appear to be applicable to Windows 7 (settings in TVServices).

I can easily copy files from the HTPC to the NAS. My old Linux based HTPC has no problem recording mulitple programmes to the NAS

I have tried using both an assigned drive and a network path. I have set Mediaportal to use this path for all tuners (although I only have 1 active at this time). The TV service appears to freeze when the recording should start (although the same channel as the one I am trying to record)

Advice would be very welcome

Make sure that TVService is running as a user with a password that has permissions to the share on your NAS. By default most services run as local system and therefore can't write to a network share in Windows.

Thanks to toricred for your help. I am still having problems but I am continuing with (hopefully) a dialogue in the 'Record to Nas' forum (to avoid duplication)

TSWriter cannot write to a NAS drive. I have written a Plugin that will copy any recordings and delete them from the TV server.
