I have problems with black screen on resume from hibernate, which I suspect are due to my graphics card (or its drivers). I have tried many different driver versions and haven't succeeded in eliminating the problem. As a result, I am considering replacing the graphics card completely. How can I verify whether or not my suspicions are correct, short of replacing the graphics card? What graphics card could I use as a replacement, which will support 1280x768 resolution via DVI? If possible, I would prefer a half-high, passive-cooled, non-nVidia card.

    Half height = low profile?

    Anyway:
Just got myself a HD3450 and I am very pleased with PQ, except problems with 1080p50 (doing 1080p75 ATM).
There are some reg. mods that makes PQ very good (AVSForum, I believe).

Cheap and very good ... don't know if they are available in "half height" (?).

    Hi rsbrux,

I have the same experience with my passiv cooled Geforce 6600 Card from MSI. I got the card for more than two years now, but found no driver working stable with standby S3 and hibernate S4.
I'm looking forward the new AMD 780g mainboards and some more tests.

Thanks for the tip, Sprag! I found this offer of a half-height (low profile) version from Digitec. The main thing that worries me is the size of the heatsink.
    1) It might not fit in my Scaleo E
    2) Even if it does, it may run too hot.
I had to put my Scaleo E on top of my hi-fi cabinet instead of on a shelf because it got too hot

I'm not sure I can even do 1080p with my rig. I have it connected via DVI to an LCD screen with native resolution of 1280x768 (60 Hz)
