Is IRServer supposed to be, between other things, a replacement for the good old Message Plugin?
I guess it is, but I tried for many hours and could not get it to work.
I Have installed the IRServer, and configured it to use "Window Messages". In MediaPortal I enabled the "MP Control Plugin for IR Server", and in its configuration I added the Windows Messages remote.
I sent the Windows messages to "WM Receiver for IR Server", but nothing happened in MediaPortal.
I could see in the log file that the messages were received by the IRServer:
2011-02-19 22:10:33.640625 [Debug][Main Thread]: Windows Messages generated a remote event: 70
2011-02-19 22:10:33.750000 [Debug][Main Thread]: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify)
After hours I just gave up and installed the good old Message Plugin from here.
Works perfectly, but I do not know if it will work along with my plans for usage of IRServer.
What did I miss?
