Request for recording timeshift buffer (2 Viewers)

Summary: Currently it's not possible to record timeshift buffer without epg data.

Area: Timeshifting

Description: At the moment my MediaPortal is connected with only av inputs to both pvr-150 cards. When watching tv with timeshift turned on for 30min, then decide that i want to record the program from beginning, I press record and "No data available" message gets displayed on screen then starts recording from the live point only. I even tried going back to the point i want to record and no luck, it records the live point only.

My request is to add an option to record the timeshift buffer regardless wether you have egp data or not. At the moment I use a dummy guide so I can record the timeshift buffer whenever I want to.

Is there a way to leave the timeshift buffer intact after changing channels, or is there a version I could use that has this feture active. I much prefer having the buffer remaining after a channel changes. I have on occasion wished I had recorded a program after watching it using the timeshift function, is it posible to save the buffered data? Riadmelb what do you mean dummy guide?
