[confirm] Restoring from tray freezing. (1 Viewer)

    Logs and jpg's of specific log; working ' cpature (2)' and freezing 'capture 1 (2)'

    The UI freezes on trying to 'Restoring from tray'. Logs show Texturepacker to be the possible problem.

    CPU usage for MP maxes out and becomes unresponsive, no visible UI, have manualy kill MP to get back desktop.

    At the moment this is very random and can't produce a simple method to reliably reproduce.

    Didn't have a problem with same set up with v1.1.3 and v1.2 beta.

    Some more extensive logs over a longer period.

    Although total freezing requiring MP to be killed didn't occur Texturepacker takes anywhere upto a minute to process.

    The logs show an eight minute period where TexturePacker has isues, i would normaly kill MP but decided to leave alone and see what could happen.
    During this period Heartbeat monitor continued without disconnecting the Timeshifting which was good and showed that MP hadn't failed.

    I must stress that 1.1.3 and 1.2alpha didn't show this problem.

    Same here. It also did it with 1.2alpha. Disposing textures always the problem.
    The longer it sits in the tray, the more likely it is to take a long time to respond.
    5 seconds if MP hasn't been running long,20-30 seconds is normal, and up to 3-5 minutes if I have the patience to wait at least once a day.
    It's randomness makes it difficult to get clean logs.
    Have gotten use to closing often, as it takes equally as long to restart fully as it does to restore from tray.

    If this can help for appropriate GUI (Direct3D) guru:

    No error log, just MP crashed at:

    2011-08-23 13:12:07.213964 [Info.][MPMain(10)]: TexturePacker: disposing texture:1999

    Ofc, this crash has more bigger consequences because all MP sqllite database changes are not written back to disk and they are lost in current session.

    Deda, I have already encountered that same stack overflow. Seems like event is stuck in endless loop and yet from the code this shouldn't be possible. Some of us discussed it in internal forums, no solution. I'm not sure if this is the same issue as original poster encounters (restoring from tray).

    Release 1.2.1.0 final has cured all connected problems so far with testing for me. Good work thanks.
