When I got home the m/c was in standby but when I switched on MP wouldn't respond (screen came up with toolbar on the along the bottom showing MP). Tried remote and keyboard to no effect. Used task manager and it showed MP not responding. Killed it and system went immediately back to standby - seen this before and raised call on RC2.

Logs attached but from what I can see from the tvserver the first program recorded OK and stopped as expected:

2010-05-27 07:30:14.203125 [scheduler thread(22)]: Scheduler: stop record BBC TWO 5/27/2010 07:10:11-5/27/2010 07:25:00 Muddle Earth

The m/c went to suspend but mentions hibernate - both tvserver and client are set to suspend

When I wake the system up at 18.09 it clearly there are orphaned scheduled recording.

2010-05-27 18:09:00.843750 [scheduler thread(22)]: Scheduler: Orphaned once schedule found 484 - removing

The system then goes back to suspend

I have exactly the same problem (and have had so since about MP 1) never been able to track it down though.

Probably not what you want to hear but I now close MP manually when I am finished and start it up via green button when I want it. Standby then works perfectly for me and all recordings are carried out etc (only TV Service is running for unattended recordings)

Problem is that this is not reproducable at will and there does not appear to be any pattern. Only thing I thought it might be in the past was mini-display plugin. Do you use that? Also I have a feeling this is an issue for XP and none of the devs are using XP any more...

thanks for the reply - and you are right not what I wanted to hear:D

I don't use any LCD plugin. The problem only appeared for me on RC2 and now RC3 - 1.0.1 never showed the problem (as far as I can remember)

I will keep trying and looking at logs.......maybe something will turn up

I had this problem in RC2 (which I reported), but for me, it is fixed with RC3!
